Congratulations to Jesuit High School - 2012 George M. Steinbrenner Classic Champions

Twenty high school teams from all over Hillsborough county will go head to head in November to compete for the coveted crown in George M. Steinbrenner Classic. The three day tournament is held at Steinbrenner Field and the Yankees’ Player Development Complex on Himes Avenue.
“The Yankees are excited to be hosting this event to honor the late Yankees’ principal owner, George M. Steinbrenner” said Felix Lopez, Executive Vice President. Steinbrenner was a well known philanthropist in the Tampa area and played an important role in youth athletics. “Not only is this event making an positive economic impact on our community but it is also such an exciting opportunity for the kids to play in a professional facility, fueling their dream to one day reach a professional level of play” said Lopez.
